What's happening next in Colonial Park -- 2026
1/16: One nice thing about winter in Wisconsin is snow — when we have it, and when shoveling is not an issue. In Colonial Park we can simply enjoy it, which I (Jay) did yesterday. Colonial Park is quiet in winter -- not silent, but quiet. A great place to take a walk if things are noisy at home. Someone was there before me, perhaps a fisher person. The trees wait out the winter. Planting and “weeding” are long dreams away.
I gather Colonial Park makes good fishing in January. I saw a number of people with gear.
